Hercules Announces Synapse As Integration Partner
Hercules is excited to announce Synapse as an integration partner to foster deeper and more efficient liquidity for the entire Metis ecosystem and a streamlined user experience.
Synapse + Hercules: A Brainy Collaboration
With a composable, efficient liquidity protocol featuring seamless swaps, staking, real yield, and a launchpad, Hercules aims to become the native liquidity layer for the Metis Andromeda network. Its flexible features are tailored to protocol-owned liquidity, allowing dynamic fees and customizable incentives packaged in a user-friendly interface.
Synapse is a leading cross-chain bridging and communication protocol, boasting $47 billion in total volume and millions of users. Synapse Bridge allows users to easily swap on-chain assets between 20+ EVM (Ethereum virtual machine) and non-EVM networks safely and securely. Bridged assets can be wrapped assets (e.g., wETH) or native assets across cross-chain stableswap pools (e.g., USDT).
A Synapse bridge widget will be integrated directly into the Hercules UI, allowing quick and easy bridging to and from any of the 20+ blockchains which Synapse has interconnected. This integration will greatly expand the Hercules and Metis community’s access to liquidity.
Likewise, this partnership will deepen Synapse protocol’s access to liquidity and the Metis ecosystem itself and improve capital efficiency and UX for its users, whichever chain they might be using.
Looking A Little Deeper
Synapse Bridge is the cheapest, fastest and most capital efficient bridge. Today, Synapse uses four different bridge modules to construct the best transaction for a user. Any bridge design has to balance tradeoffs between speed, cost and capital efficiency. Instead of building a monolithic architecture, Synapse has built a set of bridge modules that come together depending on the size, chain, and tokens a user wants to bridge.
- Synapse RFQ — Bridge transactions are turned into auctions. Relayers compete to provide the best quotes for users, bridges complete in 10 seconds. RFQ is live on a few chains today, and will expand to more chains as liquidity increases
- Synapse Liquidity Pools — Stable swap pools with liquidity provided by LPs allowing swaps between stables (USDC, USDT, DAI, etc) and nUSD (Synapse’s interchain stablecoin).
- Synapse CCTP — In partnership with Circle, allows slippage-free transfer of USDC between chains.
- Synapse X — Swaps using external liquidity pools so users can bridge a larger variety of assets Synapse pools don’t natively support. External protocols supported today are Curve, Aerodrom, MakerDAO PSM, Trader Joe, and Uniswap.
Synapse Protocol is also building the Synapse Interchain Network: the first optimistic proof-of-stake interchain network, enabling trustless communication and settlement between chains.
SIN is an optimistic proof-of-stake interchain network, allowing trustless (thus, “optimistic”) communication and settlement between chains, thereby making all blockchain data and liquidity accessible and transferable across all interconnected chains. The protocol builds on previous research used for Optimistic Layer 2 technologies and is inspired by the work of the Optimism team. SIN enables chain abstraction (no more switching chains), unified liquidity (liquidity defragmentation), and interchain connectivity.
Synapse Protocol seeks to power the interchain future, through asset bridging and interchain messaging enabling a new paradigm for complex cross-chain interactions.
About Synapse
Synapse is the most widely used, extensible, and secure cross-chain communications network. Synapse empowers developers to build truly cross-chain applications using the Synapse Protocol.
